Love, Hope, and Peace

Tis the season to be Thankful, and I am THANKFUL for so many things.

First:  For Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ who love me and know the true intent of my heart.  It always amazes me the miracles that Heavenly Father has in store for all of us.  I know that He loves me and always will no matter what.  The trails that Christ went threw for me so that I can again with my family.

Second: A husband who loves and adores me no matter what!!  Shane is such a wonderful man, and I love him with all my heart.  I am so grateful for his work ethic, and that he allows me to stay home and raise our boys.  I don't think there is a day that goes by that I don't ask him to call in sick and just stay home with us, knowing full well that he is his own boss and that there is no way that he can stay home, but I figure that it doesn't hurt to ask.

Third: The two sweetest boys ever!!
Jase is growing into a little boy!!  He talks so clearly, and says some of the funniest things.  He is the nicest older brother, whenever I am getting any food for Jase he is always sure that I get some for Gage also.  I don't know if he just doesn't want to share but I take it as just watching out for his little brother.  He never wants Shane or I to leave but when we have to, he is always asking us to "come back."  Jase's first words when Dad walks in the house are usually "I want to wrestle, please dad."  He is always so polite.  Jase is always excited to see family and never wants to leave Grandma E's house.  Brock and Jamey came down after Thanksgiving and we went and spent the day at Grandma E's.  Jase was so excited to play with his cousin Dalton.  For some reason he always asks about Dalton and so when he was able to go and play with Dalton he was so happy.  I had to drag him out of my mom's house kicking and screaming, because he wanted Dalton to come and stay at our house.  I put a picture of my little sister Keona up at our house and every day Jase walks by and says "there my cute Keona, hu mom."

Gage is always so happy.  About the only time that he cries is if he is hungry, or wants something.  He is starting to become a little chatterbox.  He can say: thankyou, Keona (nana), Brant, Tay, ball, Mommy, Daddy, Jase, juice, stinky, uh-oh, bat.  Gage likes to get into a lot of stuff.  He is always going into my bathroom and pulling everything out of the drawers.  He wants to do everything that Jase is doing and more.  Loves to read books, he has started this new thing lately where he likes to bring me a book and a blanket, it is so cute.  He doesn't want any help at all when it comes to eating, but he is a really good eater and will eat just about anything.  Gage always has a cute little smile on his face and a big huge goose egg on his forhead.  The other day I had Jase at the table coloring something, and I went to put something away and came right back, and Gage is sitting on top of my table.  I about died!!!  My table and chairs are the tall style, and he had never even tried to climb on the chairs before.

Forth:  Family, what would I do with out them.  Shane and I are so blessed to live close to both of our parents.  Our kids have such a good relationship with both of their Grandparents!!  I am so blessed with such a big family, I could go threw and tell you what I am thankful about each one of them and Shane's sister Meg, but I will leave it at they are all wonderful and unique in their own ways.

There so many other things that I am just so grateful for: Temples, the gospel, Joseph Smith, life, love, friendship, the joy of seeing my boys laugh every day, the plan of salvation, forgiveness, the beautiful seasons, the holidays, etc.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these pics

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had time to update.  Life seems like it goes by so stinking fast.  Then there is the fact that whenever I sit down on the computer Jase and Gage reck my office, so I try to go in there as little as possible.  For Halloween Jase was a frog and Gage was a little bear.  They were so cute.  We really didn't take then trick or treating because I still feel like they are to young for that.  But both of their grandparents were able so see them all dressed up so that was fun!!

These days

Can I just say that Jase loves to jump!!  Every day he wants me to build something with the couch cushions so that he can jump off of them or over them.  He will jump over and over and over again, then say "that's cool, I jump high."  He is such a character.  When he doesn't want to do something he will say "I not doing that today!"

Lately Jase has loved to have his picture taken.  He will tell me "go get camera" and then give me a big cheesy smile.  Gage crawled into the drawer and so Jase decided that he needed to climb in also.

Gage gives some of the funniest facial expressions!! I love it!!  This boy loves to eat!  If it is meal time he is at my feet just begging for some food, and he wants to feed himself.  He doesn't want any help, Jase on the other hand I have to practically make him eat every single bit.  It drives me crazy!!

Jase loves to go and see the elk!!  When we went the other day, it was so cold and windy that we thought that we wouldn't be able to see any, but they were right at the fence.  The top picture I absolutely love Jases little smurk with the elk right there in the background!!  In this bottom picture the elk is only about 6 feet away from us.

Silly Boys

So the other morning I send Shane in to get Gage out of bed, the next thing that I hear is this laughing coming from the room.  So I have to go and see what is going on and this is what I find!!!

Yep, Shane is in the crip with the two boys, I was sure the bed was going to break!!  After I got done laughing I had to go and get the camera so that I could get pictures.  I also grabbed the video, but just my luck I had forgotten to charge it.

This is Jase and Ava Woodward!  While Shane and Ty went hunting, Natalie and I decided that we would have a girls weekend.  We went to Hop-2-it twice and the boys had a ball!!  The entire time that they were at our house Jase was asking if he could hold Ava.  He loved giving her kisses!!

I can't believe that it is October already, time seems like it flies so fast. We recently had some family pictures taken and they are so cute, if only I could figure out how to get them on here to show every one. I figured out how to do the banner, but can't seem to do the other photos.
Jase and Gage are getting so big. Gage can say daddy, mommy, ball, night-night, bat, and Jase. He so cute, he is walking every where and gets into everything. He is starting to become a little opinionated about certian things. He is still just a happy good baby.

Jase cut his eye about two weeks ago while jumping on the bed. He got a black eye and was looking pretty beat up. Jase comes up with some of the funniest things, the other day Gage had a pan and was banging on it with a spoon. All of the sudden Jase grabs the spoon and puts on the counter and says "You are driving me crazy!" Yeah, I think that one is all me, oops.

Big Elk

We were told that we need to drive down to Shoshone Falls and see the Elk, so Saturday we drove down there and were amazed. There is an elk farm that someone has started done there. We were only able to see one big elk and he was standing like 15 feet away from us. So Sunday we decided that we wanted to go back and look again and there was tons of elk. Jase loved them, after we left he asked if we could now go find a camel. Shane just kept telling me how bad he wanted to shoot one and hang it on the wall. That is just what I want to look at all day long. The Elk is above Shane's head and to the leftThey are kind of hard to see, but there a big group of elk all laying down. Aren't the falls beautiful!!!!

I love my boys

This morning as we were sitting eating breakfast, Jase was going over his normal questions of the day, he asks "where's daddy" and I tell him "work" and I get the usual response "why." I decided that maybe I would give a more in depth response then because, so I said "he had to go to work so that he can pay for the juice your drinking, the clothes your wearing, and the groceries that we buy." Jase's reply "like suckers!" The expression on his face was so cute, it was like he totally understood why dad goes to work now.

Yesterday at lunch I had Jase say his whole name, and then I was having him say Gage's whole name and when he got done he look at Gage and said "your a Murphy too!!"

It is funny how in our every day life we sometimes get caught up in all the big things that we overlook such simple joys. Life can sure throw some curve balls at you, exspecially when your not looking or expecting it.

Why we take kids on trips I will never know

Don't get me wrong it is so much fun to go and have time together as a family, but boy is it a work out. For Gage's Birthday we decided that we would take the kids down to Utah and go to the Hogle Zoo. So we left Tuesday morning figuring that Gage would take his morning nap on the way there, nope he cried almost the entire way to Utah. We fed them lunch and then did a little shopping. I was able to get Gage asleep and I laid him in the stroller, but I think he only slept for like a half hour. So we decided that we would go and check in at our Hotel and go swimming. Jase and Gage had a lot of fun and didn't want to get out of the pool.
So then we go to get dinner and the restraunt we wanted to eat at was closed. So we decided that we would just drive and see what we could find. About 5 minutes in I look back and Jase is asleep and Gage is fighting to keep his eyes open. So we decide that drive thru would be the way to go. We get back to the Hotel feed the kids and have them asleep by 8pm. They were both awake at 2am and ready to move. I was able to get them both back to sleep around 5am and they slept until 8am. I was so tired and the day had just begun.

We watched the bird show, and it was really neat how they are able to train the birds. By the end of the show both Jase and Gage were screaming and ready to move on. They both enjoyed seeing the animals. On the way home we figured that both boys would take a nap, wrong again. Gage fussed most of the way exept for the last 45 minutes in which he finally fell asleep. Needless to say they were both in bed and asleep by 7pm last night and they both slept until 8am this morning. It is fun to go, but it wears me out.

I Can't Believe IT!!!!!

1. Gage is one today!!! He has gotten so big so fast. Gage is such a happy baby, the only time that he really ever cries is when he is hungary. I couldn't ask for a better baby. Gage loves to play with Jase, he follows Jase everywhere and tries to do whatever Jase is doing. They are such good friends, they love to wrestle and play together. He has these amazing blue eyes that I love and his smile melts my heart.Jase and Gage riding the wheeler
Yesterday we celebrated Gages Birthday with Paka (Jase's name for Grandpa) and Grandma Murphy Jase and Gage wrestling on the floor

2. Yesterday was mine and Shane's 8th anniversary. It doesn't seem like it has been that long. If feels like yesterday we were still in high school, flirting in seminary (well maybe not yesterday, but last week.) Time just goes by so fast. I love Shane more than anything, he is such wonderful man. Here we are 10 years we have been together, now we are married with two boys who are just the joys of our lives. I love my family!!!

4th of July

There is so many things to do in the summer, and the 4th of July is such a wonerful holiday! We get to enjoy; family, parades, horse rides, bike rides, swimming, games, good food, relaxing, and best of all we get to celebrate the freedom that comes with living in such a great country.
This was the first year that I took Jase and Gage to the parade, and they had fun. My personal favorite group that went by was the hispanic group that had dancing horses or at least their horses looked like they were dancing to the music.

Jase and I getting ready to watch the Fireworks

Jase was so talkative that night, I think he gabbed the entire time the fireworks were going off.

Peace

I tell Shane all the time that there are not enough pictures of me and the boys, so here is a good one that Shane took.
