LIfe

Life has had it's hard parts these last few months.  I feel as though I have struggled more than normal.  I feel as woman that we look down on ourselves a lot. We are never good enough at being wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, neighbors, etc...  I fall in this category a lot and I know that it is the work of Satan, because I know he doesn't want us to feel good about what we have done or how good we are.  We seem to only see the bad in ourselves. I hate feeling like this, I feel week and vulnerable.  I guess that is maybe something that the Lord is trying to teach me, to try to find the good in myself and others.   Finding strength in your weaknesses is what this life is about right.  Another fault would be forgiveness, and the Lord is doing his best at teaching me how to forgive as well.  Sometimes forgiveness is the hardest part.

Jase is so excited about turning 5 we hear about it everyday!

Gage thinks that as soon as Jase turns 5 he is turning 4.

Blaze is army crawling everywhere!  His 2 bottom teeth have finally come in.  There for a little while he was a grump but he has finally returned to his normal happy boy!

I finally did Gage's 3 year pictures

New dog, a frog, and what I wake up to everyday!

For those of you who don't know we had to put our last dog down because he had double hip displacement and could hardly walk. The dog was only 5 months old...

 We decided it was time to try again and this time we got a bird dog ( aka German Shorthaired Pointer)  We have had him for 3 weeks now and we love him.  He as been a really good dog.  For the most part he will leave my kids alone and not bit at them no matter how much the antaganize him. Loves to play fetch.

Shane recently went on a hunting trip for a few days and one night while he was gone I was cooking dinner when the boys come in and said they had a big bug that they wanted me to see.  So go out to investigate what kind of bug because it was a really big bug.  It was a praying mantis.  The boys wanted to put it in a jar so I tell them to go and grab one and I would watch and make sure it didn't go anywhere.  So while they are getting the jar I started to pull weeds that were by the fence.  They come back out and as Jase goes to put the jar over the praying mantis he steps on a frog that must of been hidding underneath one of the weeds I had just pulled.  Jase looks down and screams "frog mom there is a FROG."  Jase was so excited and grinning from ear to ear. 

I tried to get a picture of Jase and the frog but it just kept on jumping.

Almost every night while Shane was gone one or all three kids would end up in my bed. 

These three boys are definitely crazy but I love them.

Jase is always willing to help.  Loves to be outside.  Is learning to write his ABC's, knows most of the single digit numbers.  Always wants to hold Blaze.  Is friends with everyone in the neighorhood and we always have kids around.    Knows the first article of faith by heart.

This is Gage.  Shirt on backwards, I know.  It is like this everyday.  If you ask him about it he will say "that's the way I like it!"  Usually he puts everything backwards (shoes, shirt, pants, underwear, even socks he will put them on upsidedown) and there is no changing it after he puts it on.  He is one of a kind.  Loves to work outside in the shop or anywhere with dad.

Blaze always has a smile.  I am constantly asked if he is always happy, and he is.  Went 2 weeks of  waking up every 3 to 4 hours so we started him on baby food and he is back sleeping through the night.  Has learned to roll over, loves to play with toys.

We went to a spot in Hagerman that was right by the Fish Hatcheries.  It is only for kids to fish in, the fish were tiny but the boys had fun!

Island Park 2011

We drove up to Island Park Tuesday so that we were able to spend all of Wednesday (Gage's Birthday) playing and having fun instead of driving!  Gage had so much fun riding his bike, swimming, digging, and playing with cousins.  He even had a cake to blow out candles!!  All day he keep saying "It's my Birthday and I'm 5 now!"  No matter how many times I said 3 he would always say 5.



 We had a wonderful time.  It was so my fun.  There was family that wasn't there that we missed and hope that you will be there next year the dates are already set!!  Kindi again I am sorry that we took family pictures without you, next year if you have to leave early remind me to take the stinken picture before you leave!!  I added you next to the picture the best that I could and the only picture that I had of you alone was one of your bridal pictures!  But I love how you are looking over at your Family!!  

4th of July

The 4th is always a fun time of year.  Family Reunions, Parades, Barbecues, Rodeos, Swimming, Boating, etc.  This year instead of watching the parade from the side lines the boys (Jase and Gage) got to ride with dad in the West End Fire truck.

We had a barbecue at Murphy's house that evening and got to watch the fireworks  Grandma Murphy bought the boys some flags and hats to help them be a little more festive.

The Barendregt's had a big family reunion, and it was fun to see them and catch up on life.

Out with the Old and In with the New

So I have been thinking that I needed a change...I have been contemplating cuting my hair.  I have been thinking about it for a month.  So I find a picture and ask Shane what he thinks he says "whatever."  Thanks Dear that really helps!  I mean I haven't cut my hair this short since I was like 10!!  But I wanted a change.  I couldn't do anything with my hair except pull it back in a pony tail because Blaze would just grab and pull.  Everone knows that I am not a decision maker!! Right now you are probably thinking blah, ba, blah, ba, blah just show me the pictures!!

I cut off 10 inches and I am going to donate it!!

After I left the hair dresser I loved it. After I took this picture I hated it!!  The next day I tried to do it and felt like it looked horrible.  I am so on the fence right now...

Blaze hits the 3 month mark

• I am so in love with this little guy!! He is such a good baby!
• Sleeps through the night -most nights he will sleep for 12 hours and only wake up once to eat then goes right back to sleep

• Loves to be in my sling and goes right to sleep
• Weighs 13lbs 5oz
• 25 inches tall

• Gage is the goof ball of the family
• People comment all the time about how you can see the character in his eyes
• Comes up with some funny sayings
• Thinks he is the boss and will try to punish Jase when he does something wrong
• Is going through a shy stage when he is around people

• Jase is doing T-Ball this summer and loving it
• Loves to play with friends, dig, ride bikes, jump on the tramp
• Does really well with sharing anything and everything
• Can write his ABC's
• Loves to pose for the camera
