This last month has been a hard one. Jase got the flu, and I don’t know how many times that I had to wash all the blankets, towels, and clothing. That first night he threw up like 5 times in two hours and I think that he only slept for like 2 hours. It took him a week to finally get that out of his system. I was lucky enough to get it, but I had it only for about 24 hours. I don’t think that Gage really had it, and Shane was able to avoid it. Then the next week I got a head cold. It just feels like Jase and I have been sick this whole winter. You know I used to be able to at least some what like winter, but at the moment I hate it. I hate all the sickness that it brings.
On to happier news, Gage turned 6 months old January 27. He is such a big boy!! Just this week he has started rolling over, and really enjoying playing on the ground. He loves to shove just about anything and everything that he can get his hands on, into his mouth. He likes to grab his toes and play with them. Toys are so much fun to play with, but Jase always wants to dictate and pick which ones he gets to play with. Gage is definitely a mama’s boy. I will be working in the kitchen and Shane will be holding Gage on the couch, Gage will have his eyes fixed on me and watching whatever I am doing. He is such a happy baby though. Jase has gotten a lot better around him. He used to walk up and slug him, and now he will sit by him and read him a story or give him a toy to play with.
Jase is getting so big. He is saying all sorts of words. Sense he has felt better, he has had such an appetite, which is a good thing because he is so stinken skinny. This morning I made pancakes and I usually eat three. Jase ate two, and then wanted cereal after that. We keep telling Jase that Gage is going to catch up to him. He is always asking for milk. This morning when he woke up, he was in his crib, and I could hear him say “mama, mama, milk, mama.” It was so cute. We bought tuxes for Megan’s wedding and they are the cutest thing that I have ever seen. Jase absolutely loves his, Gage on the other had I think felt more like a beached whale.
